Contact Lens Assessment
Contact lenses are medical devices that must be fit properly to achieve optimal vision and to avoid damages to the health of the eyes.
We dispense daily, biweekly, and monthly disposable soft lenses. If you are over 40 and experience near strain or blur, there are monovision and multifocal contact lenses also available to correct your unique vision needs.
Contact lens assessments are required for all lenses dispensed through our office, because we believe it is an important part of wearing the lenses safely and it allows us to give a guarantee on the contact lenses. Assessments are personalized to determine the best prescription, size, and modality of the contact lenses. If you are a new wearer, we also provide training on contact lens insertion and removal.
The contact lens assessment fee is separate from the comprehensive eye exam fee. The optometrist will provide you with trial contact lenses and will assess your vision with the lenses on the eyes to evaluate the fit. It also includes any follow up visits up to 60 days (if any necessary changes to the contact lens prescription or the type of contact lens that you have been fit with). This fee is non-refundable, and is determined by the type of lens prescribed and the difficulty of the fit.
